Meghan Markle was acting all along and has now turned Harry into an awful sad man, says royal insider
As Harry and Meghan make their first joint appearance in the UK after their January Megxit announcement, royal photographer Arthur Edwards has claimed that the former actress was "acting" during her first year as royal after she married Prince Harry in 2018 and gave the monarchy its first biracial duchess.
Speaking to Dan Wootton on talk RADIO, Edwards said: “She is an actress and for the first year I thought she was wonderful. I thought she was a great ambassador for the country. I now realize it was acting. She turned Harry into this dour, awful sad man.”
When Wootton interjected, saying, “So you think Meghan was acting when she first took on the royal role?” Edwards replied, “I think she was playing a very good part. They say Meghan gets what Meghan wants but I’ll tell you this, she’s lost the love of the British public and she’s got to work very hard to get that back.”
At this, the host said that incurring the wrath of the people might not have been at the top of her mind since she and Harry seemed pretty sure of their decision to quit the royal family, Express reported.
“It feels like Meghan had made her mind up. Nothing was going to keep her in the UK in the end," he said.
Edwards had previously said in an interview that he thought that the Duke of Sussex's present arrangement in Canada will not last forever as he was going to come back to his homeland after he starts to miss his family in the near future. He reiterated his stance during his recent appearance, adding that Harry will choose to come back with or without his wife.
“And you wonder what it is in America that’s drawn her there - whether she’s had an offer of a big film," Edwards said. "I wouldn’t be surprised because any producer that would put her in a film would sell a lot of tickets because we would all want to go and see it. I personally think that he will come back and whether she comes or not, I don’t know. He will miss it so much. He’ll miss his own family and he’ll miss this country.”
