The Duchess of Sussex is around six months pregnant and is now doing up the baby's nursery. It has been reported that Meghan Markle will be using 'vegan paint' which has been infused with eucalyptus oil to decorate the nursery.

As reported by The Sun, the royal mother-to-be is busy making preparations for the arrival of her baby in April and she has already begun by working on the nursery which is planned to be a 'gender-free' one. Not only that, the pair's home at Frogmore Cottage, where Prince Harry and Meghan are hoping to welcome their child, is undergoing renovations estimated to be to the tune of $38,86,860 (£3 million).

According to royal insiders, the nursery will be painted in whites and greys with Meghan ensuring that the paints would not have been tested on any animals or using paints which contain milk or bee's wax as an ingredient. Meghan will be using a vegan and non-toxic emulsion which was created by Organic and Natural Paint Co.

A source shared with The Sun, "Rather than fashionable Farrow & Ball paint in shades such as Wevet, Peignoir, and Pavilion Grey and Salmon, the Sussexes are much more in favor of The Organic & Natural Paint Co’s Auro range for the nursery." The paints are infused with rosemary and eucalyptus oils in order to help boost the immune system and creativity and even enhance memory. However, Kensington Palace has not yet commented on the matter.

Further, as part of the renovation, the Duchess of Sussex will also be installing childproof windows as well as a $64,781 (£50,000) worth eco-friendly boiler. The eco-friendly boiler unit will make sure that Meghan and Harry's staff and security will have instant hot water for 24 hours a day. Meghan will also be taking the help of star interior designer Vicky Charles in the renovation and the nursery decor. Vicky is known for having decorated the chic hotel Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire where Meghan previously had her hen party.

The source further added that the new boiler had been partially installed because "capacity needs to be increased" at the cottage. The paint brand Organic and Natural Paint Co. is based in Norfolk and was set up in 2012 by Chris Ridley. Ridley's family used to suffer from respiratory issues and so the father of two set up the brand.

Meghan recently revealed that she does not know whether her baby will be a boy or a girl which is why she has gone ahead with a 'gender-free' paint scheme for the nursery. When it comes to knowing the child's gender, even Prince William and Kate Middleton had waited to find out on the birth of all their three children.

The royal mother-to-be is known to maintain a healthy lifestyle; Meghan is reportedly following a strict plant-only diet during the week and has also managed to persuade her husband, Prince Harry, to reduce the amount of meat that he consumes and turn towards a more fitter health regime before the arrival of the baby in Spring this year.
