Meghan Markle, just days after meeting Prince Harry, reportedly told her friends that she thought the royal was "a catch," according to reports. English television host, Lizzie Cundy, recently revealed that after news broke that the Suits actress and Prince Harry were involved in a romantic relationship, she immediately messaged Markle.

"When I heard about Harry ‘I said what a catch’ and she said ‘yeah I know!’" Cundy told Fabulous Digital. The television host said that Markle, at the time, was looking for an English boyfriend after her split from TV producer Trevor Engelson with whom she was married to from 2011 to 2013, according to The Sun

"We both had had breakups and a bit of a past, and she was asking lots of questions about mine. She wanted kids and she wouldn’t mind an English guy," Cundy said.

Reports state that Cundy, at the time, suggested that footballer Ashley Cole could be a contender for the actress, however, Markle turned down the offer after learning about the sportsman's history with his former wife Cheryl.

"People are saying she’s a social climber, but you want to be someone people look up to and you are proud to be on the arm of," Cundy said. "But I think good for her, she’s had the catch of the century.”

Markle, at the time, was filming for Suits in Vancouver, however, Cundy said that she appeared desperate to relocate across the pond.

"[We chatted] a bit about Vancouver that it was so away from everything and there wasn’t much to do there," the TV host added. "That’s why she loved London. I could see the stars in her eyes."

Cundy said that although Suits was a big hit in the US, Markle wasn't that well-known in London in 2013 and was quite humble about her being on the show.

"She was very gracious with it. And was like ‘I do this’ she didn’t expect you to know her. Very humble," the TV host added. "If you want to have a good time, you keep in with the right people and she was no different. Whether you call it social climbing, but she desperately wanted to go on and enjoy London life and make as many contacts as possible. You can’t blame her, everyone does it."

Markle and Harry reportedly met when they first sat together at a pre-dinner for a Caudwell Children charity event and Cundy admitted that she had no idea who the actress was at the time.
