The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton have reportedly had a falling out and rumors that there is a 'rift' between them have reached an all-time high. Before Christmas, many of the royal fans have questioned if the two sisters-in-law are getting along given rumors that they are 'feuding'.

Now, according to royal experts, Meghan "never stood a chance" when it came to winning popularity over Kate Middleton.

Yomi Adegoke wrote in the Guardian, "Meghan’s casting as a Disney villain — a black female divorcee with a penchant for black dresses (another protocol breach) — practically writes itself. Meghan never stood a chance. When the duchesses do behave comparably, the reaction could not be more different."

"Like Meghan, Kate has broken protocol several times, by wearing dresses above the knee, with far less pearl-clutching from commentators. Meghan has always been negatively juxtaposed — a browner, shorter-skirted “starlet-cum-harlot”.

An even more common commoner, whose feuding and bad behavior is deemed inevitable, given her race and family," she continued.

The rumors were further sparked when many members of Meghan Markle's royal staff decided to resign from their roles, changes which journalist Cecilia Rodriguez says were "inevitable".

She wrote in the Forbes and said, "New boss, new rules, new style. When a new member, by marriage, arrives, some changes are inevitable even in a royal court ruled by rigid protocol and tradition. After all, and unlike the rest of the royal family, all that Meghan is going through is totally new to her and she's in the process of taking it all in — and adapting."

However, on Christmas Day, both Meghan and Kate showed up looking as happy as ever while arriving at the St Mary Magdalene church on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The rumors had first started after claims that Meghan had been branded as "difficult" by palace insiders. Other claims said that Kate had reportedly told Meghan not to berate members of her team after she reportedly "b****cked" someone from Kate's staff.

All these "rows" and misunderstandings have been dismissed by Kensington Palace.
