Meghan Markle called ‘most down-to-earth person’ by mentee after Duchess surprised her with coaching session
A young interviewee who was mentored by Meghan Markle has spoken up about the experience. Krisi Uzunova, who is from London, said that she could not believe that the "down-to-earth" royal surprised her with a coaching session.
The young woman was mentored by Meghan in late March via a video call. The Duchess of Sussex took the coaching session from her home in Los Angeles to advise Uzunova who was applying for an internship after completing her studies in psychology.
The 38-year-old has been a royal patron of the Smart Works charity, which provides high-quality interview clothes and interview training to unemployed women in need, since January. The clip of the session was shared by the organization on Instagram on April 29.
Speaking about her experience, the youngster tweeted: “At the end of March I took part in an interview prep session with SmartWorks and at the end I was surprised with their royal patron, Meghan Markle.” Continuing further, Uzunova, who calls herself a "yogi" and "feminist" online, described the wife of Harry as "the sweetest, most down-to-earth person that I've ever met." She added that the experience had been "a true, true honor."
Uzunova also shared the clip of the session on her Instagram page and wrote: “Still cannot believe this happened.” The woman, who is believed to be in her early twenties, said that her internship interview went "well" and she was looking forward to the results.
As per reports, Uzunova shares a lot of interests similar to Meghan. The woman is reportedly a nature and animal lover. She also does yoga and has shared several photographs of herself in various yoga poses on her social media account. The ‘Suits’ actress favors the ancient Indian exercise discipline of yoga and has long advocated the benefits associated with it.
As previously reported, in the video session that took place on March 27, Meghan praised Uzunova for her positive attitude, saying "there’s so much going on in the world right now" but she was a "beacon of hope."
“You seem incredibly confident and prepared. Everyone here is so excited, so when I was reading what your interests were - you have a big focus in mental health right? I think that's excellent,” Meghan said at the time.
“I think you're going to be fantastic, it's just so exciting. I just wanted to call in and tell you best of luck and my fingers are crossed for you. There's so much going on in the world right now, so to be such a beacon of hope and focusing on getting through it and all the positivity...I just want to send your way, to make sure you can get on the other side of this too,” the Duchess said as she encouraged the woman during the session.
After the coaching session, Uzunova expressed her gratitude towards Meghan and said: “I just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to you, the Duchess and the whole team at Smart Works for making this possible for women all around the UK because to see such work is truly inspiring and uplifting.”
“And thank you for the super useful interview tips - I will be using them for years to come!” she added.
