Meghan Markle accuses Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Camilla's aides of leaking false stories about her
Several sources have revealed that Meghan Markle believed that the royal aides of Duchess of Sussex Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla were behind leaking stories about her. A palace insider reportedly said the former actress accused the trio’s staff members of spewing negative things about her to the media, including a story of her allegedly leaving the Duchess of Cambridge in tears during a bridesmaid fitting before the royal wedding.
The source also claimed that it was not just Meghan, Prince Harry also believed that Kate, Camilla and the Prince of Wales’ aides were spreading lies about them. Meghan reportedly even thought that the royal household spread a false story about a tiara. It has been said that she wanted to wear a tiara at the wedding and the Duke of Sussex allegedly told the Queen's dresser Angela Kelly, "what Meghan wants, Meghan gets". However, later it was revealed the fiasco was not over a tiara, but a fitting.

These revelations came after Meghan told Oprah Winfrey in an upcoming interview that "The Firm" is “perpetuating falsehoods”. The 30-second clip of the March 7 explosive interview showed Winfrey asking, “How do you feel about the Palace hearing you speak your truth today?” To which, the 39-year-old replied: “I don’t know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us. And, if that comes with risk of losing things, I mean, I… there is a lot that has been lost already.”
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Buckingham Palace has begun an investigation into claims reported in The Times that because of Meghan numerous royal staff members quit their job. However, the blame has been dismissed by the soon-to-mother and her lawyer said the newspaper was "being used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative” before the tell-all interview. The Palace was reportedly “deeply upset" because of Meghan’s lawyer’s statement. The insider said, “It is absolutely untrue that the Palace has been peddling disinformation or conducting any kind of campaign ahead of the interview. The Palace has not got involved. It has clearly not been coming from us. They assumed that the men in grey suits were obsessed with destroying them.”
On the other hand, actress Janina Gavankar has refuted the allegations that her friend Meghan is a “bully”. Gavankar tweeted, “I have known Meghan for 17 years. Here’s what she is: kind, strong, open. Here’s what she’s not: “a bully”. ANY of us who know her, feel the same thing from her broken silence: Relief. The truth shall set you free.” Another close friend of Meghan, Lindsay Roth, supported her as she wrote on Instagram: “Meg’s M.O. has always been kindness; goodwill runs in her bones. I know this to be true after 22 years of very close friendship. I have seen firsthand how she treats her friends and their families, and her colleagues.” She added, “She's funny. Like, laugh out loud funny. And smart. She’s more than just a cover story.”
