Singer-songwriter, producer, guitarist and online personality Raquel Lily has dropped her latest single, titled 'Fuccboi'.

Born in the Philippines, raised in New York and currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Raquel has dealt with the trials and tribulations that a young adult faces while trying to find their place in the world.

She credits songwriting with helping her work through these ups and downs, finding it to be a cathartic, emotional purge. Her music is thus designed to guide listeners through a ride that draws on genuine experiences from an introspective and honest place.

Raquel's sound is classic R&B and soul. She names artistes like Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder as her inspirations. Her love for old-school R&B is evident across all her music, and she does a marvelous job of combining her own day-to-day experiences with a classic sound.

But despite how natural Raquel sounds doing music, she wasn't always an online personality and musician. Prior to 2017, she worked in the medical field having graduated from the University of California Davis with a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. But one day, Raquel decided life had something else in store for her and she dove head-first into pursuing a music career via online streaming. She has already put out several singles and released a self-produced acoustic EP titled 'Stripped' in 2018.

She currently performs with keyboardist and composer Martin Castor (Tragic City) and bassist Jacob Edwards (Twitch.tv/Jacob Edwards) and together, they plan to release several singles in 2020, beginning with their debut, full-length concept album titled, 'I’m Leaving.' The album is set to feature eight songs that will narrate a coming of age story about someone going through their 20s. Raquel states, "Everyone's been broken from something. You smoke some weed, you fall in love, they turn out to be a f**kboy, you're with someone sh**ty, you break up, you ghost them, you still love them, you resign, you meet someone new and there’s hope again."

Her latest single 'Fuccboi' hones in on these very difficulties and combines some gorgeous soulful vocals with sassy lyrics and a strong, funky bassline, all put together in a perfectly constructed indie-soul package. And this seems to be the core of Raquel and her band's style since their previous single 'I'm Leaving' is just as groovy and features some gorgeously smooth vocals from the singer.

Outside of her musical pursuits, Raquel became a pioneering talent in the world of gaming when she joined the Esports organization Dignitas as a musical artist and content creator in 2019. And while she does currently remain an underrated musical gem, she already has a loyal, dedicated following, thanks to her presence on the video live streaming service 'Twitch' via her channel, 'Raquel' on which she treats fans to live music performances as well as a variety of other content, including live vlogging (IRL Streaming), Just Chatting, mukbang (Social Eating), lifestyle, gaming, and cooking. She also frequently shares new music via her Spotify.
