'Mayans MC' Season 2 Episode 5: Adelita's life comes under threat and Angel is on his way to save her
Spoilers ahead for Season 2 Episode 4 'Lahun Chan' of 'Mayans MC'
The promo for 'Mayans MC's Episode 5 'Xquic' has fans feeling livid. This time around, it is Adelita (Carla Baratta) who is in grave danger.
The feds have taken her hostage and, according to the promo, plan to keep her unborn child hostage if she doesn't give them what they want.
Therefore, in order to keep Palomo and her followers safe, Adelita concocts a last-minute switcheroo, which was so well done by Carla Baratta that even the audience was fooled [she calls Miguel "devil" and "the death of Mexico"].
The official synopsis for Episode 5 'Xquic' teases the oncoming havoc: "An unexpected storm kicks up dust south of the border, as old family secrets bleed into familial affairs".
Moreover, 'Lahun Chan' added another layer of confusion to the relationship that Miguel (Danny Pino) and Adelita share. There is still no clarity on who is the real father to Adelita's baby.
So far, it looks like Angel (Clayton Cardenas) is the real father — at least he is made to believe so by Adelita. But Emily (Sarah Bolger) has questioned Miguel about his fidelity twice already and the prodding only suggests that there could be a lot more to this.
Now, as seen in the promo, if Angel ends up following Adelita all the way to Mexico, he consequently puts on hold the quest for the truth behind his mother's murder.
Last episode, Happy (David Labrava) may have given them a name to lead with [Les Packer, the Sons of Anarchy president for the San Bernardino chapter], but he also informed them that even though Packer will have information, him being anal with records won't be of much help to the Reyes brothers.
The storm has only just started. Where does it go from here? 'Mayans MC' airs Tuesdays at 10 PM on FX.
