Spoilers for 'Masters of the Air' Episode 3

LONDON, ENGLAND: 'Masters of the Air' Episode 3 has officially dropped on Apple TV+ and things are getting a lot more intense for the 100th Bomb Group as the missions get tougher during the war. But lucky for viewers, there's plenty of Austin Butler and Callum Turner in this episode.

'Masters of the Air' Episode 3's mission focuses on several bombs that need to be dropped in Regensburg and Schweinfurt to delay any production by the Germans.

The 100th group is getting smaller as more men die, but Gale Cleven, played by Butler, and John Egan, played by Turner always manage to reunite at the of the episodes.

Was the mission successful in 'Masters of the Air' Episode 3?

When the 100th is briefed on their next mission, and the most brutal and difficult one so far, they are also told about their final destination after the mission, which is in Africa.

The men are promised to receive a warm welcome after a successful mission, and that's more than enough to get them fueled up for what's about to come, despite the shortcomings.

A large chunk of  'Masters of the Air' Episode 3 takes place in the air, which would make sense, given the title and the premise of the Apple TV series. However, the second episode seemed like a breeze compared to this one.

Viewers have to try and keep up with the different characters in 'Masters of the Air' Episode 3, but Gale Cleven steals the show as he chooses not to abandon ship, much like others, and completes the mission, successfully bombing some factories in Germany before making his way to Africa.

'Masters of the Air' has established that Gale Cleven and John Egan, aka Buck and Bucky, are the protagonists of the series.

The previous episode also ended with Gale and John together as Norwich was bombed, and 'Masters of the Air' Episode 3 also ends with them together as a fair amount of the 100th land in Africa.

John takes a moment to reassure Gale that they are going to "get through this," and in that moment one can tell that Gale hardly believes his friend as he barely nods and says, "Sure, Bucky."

Things have only just begun, but there's a lot more to Gale and John that has been revealed so far in 'Masters of the Air' Episode 3, or at least that's what one can hope.

A deeper look into their friendship and conversations during the war would benefit 'Masters of the Air.'

'Masters of the Air' Episode 3 is now streaming on Apple TV+
