LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA : Recently, the most recent trailer for 'Carmen' by Benjamin Millepied was made public. We now get a thorough look at the impending operatic, dance-filled performance after the trailer's release, which has captured viewers' attention with the chemistry the stars have shown in the few shots we've seen so far.

Alongside, Paul Mescal, who was recently spotted on the awards circuit after his performance in Charlotte Wells' 'Aftersun', Melissa Barrera serves as the movie's lead character, Carmen. The movie follows Carmen as she makes her way from Mexico to Los Angeles in an effort to find freedom. The scenario in the movie is entirely different from the Georges Bizet opera from the 1800s.

What is 'Carmen' about?

According to official sources, "It tells the story of a hopeless soldier, Don José, who is seduced by Carmen, a fiery gypsy woman with an appetite for smuggling. Abandoning his childhood sweetheart and turning his back on his military career, the opera follows José in his pursuit of Carmen's attention." The movie hits theaters on April 21, 2023.
