'MasterChef' season 10: Fans celebrate Dorian Hunter's victory as she takes home the trophy
19 home-cooks entered season 10 of Fox’s popular culinary reality show ‘MasterChef’ with dreams of making it big in the culinary world. With a prize of $250,000, and a chance to train in the restaurants of celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich, and Aaron Sanchez, the stakes were higher than what the series ever saw. After following the show for several weeks, the two-hour special finale episode aired on Wednesday night, September 18. Three home cooks- Sarah Faherty, Nick DiGiovanni, and Dorian Hunter were competing for the grand prize. After an intense competition, the judges zeroed down on Dorian as the winner of the series.

Her fans couldn’t be happier about it. Dorian who always had a beautiful story behind almost every dish she created on MasterChef, continued it even in the finale with Joe remarking that he feels like he gets to know Dorian better with each dish she serves. For the finale, Dorian paid a beautiful tribute to her late mother, who inspired her culinary journey.

Way to go Dorian.” One of her ardent fans who had been following her journey since the start tweeted how "Dorian won an apron to compete on #Masterchef season 10 with a dessert, made amazing desserts (& food!) throughout the season and then won the finale with a dessert that was an ode to her late mother who she used to watch Masterchef with. There couldn't be a more perfect ending."

Dorian’s victory made her the first black woman to win the MasterChef title. The season 10 winner hopes to open her own restaurant someday. We can’t wait to see this talented chef go places in the culinary world.
