Who is Mason Seder? Fox host Brian Kilmeade snaps as 6th grader says Joe Biden did better job than Trump on Covid
Fox News presenter Brian Kilmeade roasted a sixth-grader from Philadelphia who opined that President Joe Biden was doing a better job in handling the Covid situation in the country than his predecessor Donald Trump. Kilmeade had invited three young school students from across the country on his show 'Fox & Friends' on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. In the segment, the students shared their thoughts and experiences with virtual learning.
Mason Seder was one of the three students who were invited, especially after Joe and Jill Biden visited a Virginia school this week to ask kids about Zoom learning. During the show on Wednesday, Kilmeade asked Mason what he misses the most about not being in school in person. Mason's answer caught him off-guard as the youngster subtly criticized former president Trump. His response was immediately countered by Kilmeade who refuted his claims and lauded Trump.

Who is Mason Seder?
According to a March 2021 report by Chalkbeat, Mason Seder attends the McCall Elementary School in Center City, Philadelphia. The sixth-grader appears to be a staunch critic of Donald Trump as evident from his Twitter posts. For instance, on November 8, 2020, he tagged Donald Trump and tweeted 'Ur fired', while sharing Joe Biden's tweet about winning the presidential elections. Seder has also retweeted Joe Biden's tweets a number of times.
On Kilmeade's show, Mason initially shared that his teachers were "doing a great job" in remote learning but "it's not what it could be if you’re in person".
Later, Kilmeade asked him, "What do you miss most about not being in school?” Mason answered, "I miss, most obviously, seeing my friends and all the after-school activities that I have done. I think we are very, very close to getting back to school. And I think that the way that our new president is handling things is a very good way and we would not have gone to this if it were still the last president."
His reply was not taken in stride by Kilmeade who retorted immediately, "Really? That’s hard to believe because the last president was saying I want every kid back in school."

A few weeks prior to appearing on Kilmeade's show, Mason had appealed to Dr William Hite from Philadelphia School District to reopen schools soon. "With other schools open five days a week, why aren't we going back? Why are we going back later, and why is most of our time being spent testing?" he reportedly asked, according to journalist Kristen Graham. Mason also advocated for a full reopening of schools in the fall.
