Mary L Trump suspects Donald Trump's lawyers are losing control as judge expands gag order to attorneys in fraud trial
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Mary L Trump, former President Donald Trump's niece, has shared her concern over her uncle not allowing his own attorneys to do their job in the courtroom as his fraud trial goes on.
Consistently critical of Trump and the rest of the family involved with him, Mary reflected on the ongoing trial and discussed her take on the role of the lawyers in all of this.
The trial has only gotten more complicated, with the acting gag order now getting extended over to the attorneys as well by Justice Arthur Engoron.

Mary Trump questions behavior of Donald Trump's attorneys
Mary appeared on MSNBC's 'The Mehdi Hasan Show' where the anchor went on to ask her about where the lawyers stand in this messy trial.
"What is Donald Trump going to do tomorrow?" the host questioned, "How do you put Donald Trump on the stand? How do you put him under oath? The man is a walking perjury trap. If you're his lawyer, wouldn't you be just head in your hands right now, Sunday night?"
Trump's niece was critical of how the attorneys have been acting in the court of law.
"Well, they should be," Mary responded, "But what I find interesting about his lawyers' behavior in the last week certainly is that they seem to be acting as if they are not in a courtroom either. They seem to be goading the judge."
She also noted that the gag order, which was previously applied to Donald Trump for commenting on Justice Engoron's staff, has now been extended to the attorneys as well.
This came after Trump's lawyers revealed confidential details about the words exchanged between the judge and his staff away from the courtroom, as per CNN.

With Trump remaining confident in his win and repeatedly issuing false statements in the court, Mary noted that the lawyers' approach needs a significant change.
"I'm wondering if they actually have forgotten that the judge is not Donald's base," she said, "He cannot be spun. He's going to be looking at the facts and evidence."
Mary suggested a stricter stand for the Trump attorneys as she went on to add, "I think they would be putting themselves and their client in a very difficult position if they cannot impress upon him that he needs to either tell the truth or keep his mouth shut."
The psychologist also pointed out that the lawyers might not have much power over the decisions they are making in this case.
She concluded, "I don't know how much control they have at this point because again they seem to be feeding into Donald's own desires about how this case needs to be going."
