'Married to Medicine': Hobart thinks Kendra's done with the baby, fans say 'working mothers love their babies'
Hobart Leung and Kendra Segura's marriage is going through a rough patch as the couple is trying to figure the best way to handle both work life and home. Unfortunately, most of their conversations have ended in disappointment. But all doors weren't closed on them.
This week's episode of 'Married to Medicine Los Angeles,' helped Hobart gain a fresh perspective on the matter. Robert Drummond and Mack Major shared that black women have a strong voice and implied that they know their goal and their path to success, which is why it is on him to not minimize the voice and help Kendra get ahead in her career.
Hobart was concerned that going back to working a full-time role at work would affect Kendra's milk production and the stress would lead to a bad attitude. All of this put together would begin to affect their newborn son. But even then Kendra would be happy because she enjoys her work and looking after a child then wouldn't seem like such a big deal. Hobart had to see that and it was a relief that the boys were able to make him see it.
Mack was extra invested in the matter and pointed out how communicating effectively is, most of the time, the simplest way to find solutions to the hardest problems. In his green-room interview, Mack even said that telling a woman what to do in her career is not the right thing to do. Clearly, he knows what works and what doesn't. Hobart is in good company.
Meanwhile, fans think Hobart is a bit too controlling, with some even indicating that maybe he doesn't want to compromise on his career and therefore, is worried that he'd have to fill in for her at home at times. Some even found it offensive when Hobart said Kendra was done with the kid. Wanting to go back to work full time doesn't have to mean that she is not attached or affectionate towards her own baby.
"Trust me Hobart, Kendra's schedule will not significantly disrupt the smooth flow of your family unit. And to see that, you'll need to have ample faith in the power of compromise and commitment. #Married2MedLA," a fan commented, while another shared: "Hobart took a leap from she wants to go back to work to she's done with the kid? Dude. Wth? Working mother's also love their babies #Married2MedLA."
"Dr Hobart says Dr Kendra doesn’t want that baby Geesh ...women having to balance self, career, husband, kids is tew murch and so unfair. #Married2MedLA," a viewer expressed. "Hobart seems extremely controlling....#married2medLA," another posted.
