A substitute teacher from Missouri has reportedly been arrested for engaging in sexual activity with a teenage student repeatedly, including once in a local cemetery, according to reports. The 35-year-old, identified as Katrina Kraus, was charged with second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy in Schuyler County earlier this week, according to the Daily Mail. Both the charges are Class D felonies.

Kraus reportedly had consensual intercourse with the student on multiple occasions from June to October of 2017. The student was 14 years of age when they first started engaging in sexual activity and turned 15 by the end of their relationship, reports state.

The duo reportedly had six incidents of sexual encounters and according to local authorities, the victim described one of the incidents taking place at the Cone Cemetery in Schuyler County. The student added that the other encounters occurred in Scotland County. Sheriff Joe Wuebker, while talking to KTVO, said that Kraus is currently facing the charges in Schuyler County and that more charges could be pending for her in Scotland County. Kraus' social media page indicates that she is married and has two children.

The authorities were reportedly first made aware of the incident after a 17-year-old student from Schuyler County High School contacted them in April 2018. The student claimed that he met the woman in the Schuyler County R-1 School District where she was a substitute teacher and he was a senior at the time.

The teenager claimed that Kraus sent him sexually explicit messages through social media, which also included her nude images. Reports state that no charges were made against Kraus in connection to these allegations because 17-year-olds are considered adults in Missouri.

The officials eventually got to know about Kraus' relationship with the 15-year-old based on the allegations of the other student. The teacher, who is from Memphis, is currently being held at the Adair County Law Enforcement Center and her bond is set at $15,000 in cash, according to reports.
