'Married at First Sight' Preview: Zach admits he chats with Mindy's friend behind her back in shocking reveal
When 'Married At First Sight' first aired, Zach Justice and Mindy Shiben seemed like a couple who would be happy together but it has now turned into one of the most bitter and complicated relationships on the show.
Even though there are moments of closeness and warmth between the two, it seems like Zach and Mindy are unable to get over the simmering resentment they hold for each other which makes any conversation very difficult.
In the preview clip to this week's episode, we see Mindy confront Zach about keeping in touch with her friends without her in the loop. However, Zach has a perfect explanation for it. He says he was seeking help from Mindy's friend Lindsay, first over Instagram DMs and then through texts on the phone.
You could see Mindy was surprised and why not. Being a husband, Zach must confide in his wife and put in his best efforts to communicate his feelings and thoughts. It would seem surprising to any spouse if his/her partner were to share marriage problems outside of the marriage and that too without the partner's knowledge.
This isn't the first time that Zach has left Mindy surprised. On day one of their honeymoon in Panama, he said she wasn't building any attraction towards her.
However, the next day he was completely involved in their day tour to an island nearby. Zach's unpredictability could be a red flag for Mindy and it has now started to exhaust her because she isn't as patient as she used to be at first.
Even when Zach had taken off his wedding ring saying he is not used to wearing jewelry, Mindy had calmly handled it. On returning from their vacation, Zach had said he needed space and therefore did not want to move in with Mindy into their new apartment in Washington DC.
Mindy understood his point of view despite being hurt and feeling left out in the marriage. Where is their marriage headed? Will they get their happily ever after or is it going to be splitsville?
We'll only have to wait and see in the coming episodes that are set to air on Lifetime every Wednesday.
