Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman of 'Married At First Sight' were perfect on paper but what happened along the way? The first few days post-wedding was nothing short of a dream completely packed with surprise dates, romance, and just having meaningful conversations. But ever since the couple has arrived in Washington DC, their equation seems to have changed and not for the better.

Sure, sharing one's space in the house with another person whom you are just learning about is a bit of an adjustment but weren't they prepared for this? Guess not. Ever since they have begun living together, issues have surfaced and even though, the couple is trying their best to iron them out, the problems keep coming back.

Previously, Katie shared how she was struggling to move on from her ex-boyfriend and Derek admitted to not being in love with his wife yet. These statements are what caused the rift in the first place and now they cannot seem to think past it. Katie is stuck about how hurt she would be if Derek were to never fall in love with her, while for Derek it's a matter of time before he does.

But that is not the only roadblock she feels has been stopping their marriage from flourishing. The couple had friends over and as Katie got into a different to chat with her girls, they began inquiring about how the sex was between them. She said it was great but she would have liked it if Derek initiated the sex.

Meanwhile, Derek's friends asked him the same question and he said he cannot say for sure if one has initiated sex more than the other. They are balanced and happy with the way their marriage is progressing.

Katie, however, believes Derek not being forthcoming when it comes to sex is a red flag and a potential deal-breaker. However, her friends were mature enough to advise her that she needs to stay open for their relationship to work and go places.

Interestingly, Derek had a completely different assessment of his relationship with Katie. When asked further, he said they are "intimate friends" for sure but aren't on the same page and missing feelings of love. His friends told him he should focus on making memories, take one day at a time.
