'Married at First Sight': Karen suffers from sexual trauma? Fans wonder as she avoids discussing sex with Miles

Miles marked a date for when he would want to have sex with his wife Karen but she felt disrespected and unsafe

Karen and Miles are going through a rough patch in their marriage. Miles wants to pour his heart out but Karen is taking her own sweet time to open up, treat Miles as her husband and not a stranger she got married to a couple of weeks ago. The two went out on a date at a supermarket where Karen seemed thrilled about being able to cook for Miles. Although Karen shared she didn't think it was an ideal date and pointed out her preferences but Miles was in the mood for some fun. He brought up the topic of physical intimacy and sex.

Miles smiled and asked why Karen was so averse to discussing sex with him, which Karen vehemently denied and explained that they were not there yet. She even added that no couple schedules sex. But Miles was ready to take his jokes to another level. He ran straight to a calendar and marked a date with: "sex with my wife." Karen was surprised and asked him to change that to "Miles giving himself a hand j*b."

In her confessional, Karen expressed that she felt disrespected when Miles wrote what he did. She even said that she felts uncomfortable talking about sex with Miles. Meanwhile, fans wonder if she may have had a traumatic experience with sex and that is what keeps her from being open about the subject.

"Part of me wants to say Karen is over reacting but she might have a traumatic history with sex, and miles was being goofy. But they can definitely move past it, just communicate #MarriedAtFirstSight," a fan commented, while another shared: "She shouldn’t be on the show unhealed if that’s the case."

"I can see how she felt unsafe from him bringing up sex like that. It’s definitely a trauma response and I been there. Karen needs therapy! #MarriedAtFirstSight," a viewer expressed. "Clearly Miles was joking but we don’t know Karen’s history with sex so I guess I can see how that could make her uncomfortable," a fan pointed out.
