'Married At First Sight: Couples Cam': Release date, cast, plot and all you need to know about the spin-off series
'Married At First Sight' spin-off series 'Married At First Sight: Couples Cam' is all set to drop. It's exciting because this time, they won't have a camera following them around and the couples are now at liberty to share more of their personal lives with the viewers, including the birth of their babies.
Release date
Season 1 premieres on May 20, 8 pm ET/PT on Lifetime. The channel has ordered for six episodes for now.
Plot
The video footage of the couples going about their regular lives will be shot on their phones. Often, they'll be recording selfie videos of them dealing with everyday issues. This step was taken keeping in mind the social distancing norm that must be practiced by one and all to be able to battle COVID-19 better. The show will star fan-favorite couples who will give more than just a glimpse into their domestic lives.
Cast
Jamie Otis and Dough Hehner (Season 1)
The couple were married in New York. Doug currently works in software sales and Jamie left her career as a labor and delivery nurse to focus on family. They have a two-year-old daughter Henley Grace and are expecting a baby boy in early May.
Anthony D'Amico and Ashley Petta (Season 5)
Ashley and Anthony are living in suburbs in Chicago. Ashley manages her family's bar and restaurant while Anthony is the sales director of a media company. Their daughter, Mila, recently celebrated her first birthday. Ashley and Anthony continue to work on their communication while enjoying being parents
Jephte Pierre and Shawniece Jackson (Season 6)
Shawniece and Jephte got married in Boston on Season six. They have a daughter, Laura, who turns 2 in August. Shawniece works at a hospital but also dreams of starting : a wig line and a hair salon. Jephte is an elementary school teacher and he has been contemplating a career change.
Danielle Bergman and Bobby Dodd (Season 7)
Danielle and Bobby were part of Season seven in Dallas. With a 1-year-old daughter, Danielle is a stay-at-home mom and Bobby is a regional sales manager for a utility support structures company.
AJ Vollmoeller and Stephanie Sersen (Season 8)
Stephanie and AJ were married on Season 8 in Philadelphia. AJ is the owner of a staffing agency and Stephanie works as a finance manager. The two recently started marriage counseling to improve their communication.
Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar (Season 8)
Keith and Kristine were also wed in the Philadelphia-set Season eight. Kristine works full time in real estate. Keith works as a biomedical technician.
Jamie Thompson and Elizabeth Bice (Season 9)
Jamie is a consultant for a tech company and Elizabeth is a full-time health and beauty influencer.
Deonna McNeill and Greg Okotie (Season 9)
Greg and Deonna got married on Season nine in Charlotte. Greg is the owner of a math learning center and Deonna works as an operations manager. At home, they've been working on a side business of designing and screen-printing clothing and Deonna is said to have 'baby fever.'
So far, eight couples have been confirmed for the upcoming spin-off series. A pair from Season 10 will join the cast but there's been no update on it yet. However, one can make guesses. Four out of the five couples from Season 10 split, leaving only Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd in contention for the empty spot. Plus, fans love them too and their easy-breezy equation with each other. That said, let's wait for an official announcement.

"With the uncertain times we are all facing and having to pivot our production practices, we are thrilled to be able to deliver this special and exciting new series to give our fans even more of what they love.”
