Police have identified a suspect in the brutal beating of a truck driver in Portland over the weekend as Marquise Love, 25. The victim was beaten up and left unconscious on Sunday, August 16, evening. The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) released a statement where they said, "Yesterday, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) began investigation of an assault that occurred in the downtown area where an adult male associated to a white pick-up truck was violently assaulted."

"Investigators positively identified the suspect as 25-year-old Marquise Love. Investigators made attempts to contact Love but could not locate him," the statement continued. In a viral video, Love was seen allegedly kicking the victim in the head while he sat on the ground after being beaten up by some protesters. Love allegedly booted the man in the head leaving him unconscious.

The authorities revealed that they are on the lookout for Love and also have a probable cause for his arrest. They urged the public not to make any contact with him after 4chan users identified him and shared his name on and Facebook profile on social media. The police shared, "PPB Investigators have been made aware of attempts by members of the public to contact Love after possible personal information was posted online. Investigators urge the public to not do this as it can be dangerous. Also, the information circulating on social media is not always accurate."

As per Love's Facebook page, he was listed as an 'armed security guard' at the Portland International Airport. In one of the videos, Love is seen sporting a vest that read 'security' on it. In one of the videos of the assault, Love can be seen wearing a similar kind of vest. We had earlier shared that disturbing footage from the scene showed the man lying unconscious on the ground as protesters shouted "Black Lives Matter" in the background and others rushed to give him first aid.

The victim was identified as Adam Haner by his brother Brian Haner, the Washington Examiner revealed. Protesters claimed that Adam had chased the group in a four-by-four truck and had later crashed in the downtown area. He was then pulled out from his truck and beaten senseless by BLM protesters who claim that he was trying to run them over. Some other videos taken at the scene show Adam bleeding from the head.

A reporter from the Daily Caller shared, "Several men punched Adam in the face. He actually hit the ground. When he hit the ground, a female then kicked him in the back of the head, and then we saw a suspect with a vest that said 'security' kick him in the head, and that sent Adam unconscious," on Fox & Friends. "Even then, they continued to attack Adam as he was clearly unconscious. It was very tough to see it in person," the reporter added.

Meanwhile, protesters had started to ransack his truck and justified their actions by saying they were simply "checking for weapons." As reported by The Post Millenial, Love had earlier been charged with fourth-degree assault and harassment in a 2017 domestic violence case in Oregon.
