Mark Ruffalo recently took to Twitter to share that the United States is in need of an "economic revolution". Ruffalo made the statement as he retweeted a November 21 op-ed from Time titled 'How America's Elites Lost Their Grip'.

The 52-year-old Ruffalo tweeted, "It's time for an economic revolution. Capitalism today is failing us, killing us, and robbing from our children's future."

The 'Avengers' actor had previously also shown up at rallies to talk about his anti-fracking stance. He pointed to and highlighted the article in order to back up his statements.

It was just last month that Ruffalo opened up about his views on Democratic presidential candidates while appearing on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'.

When asked which candidate he liked, the 'Hulk' actor replied saying, "First of all I want to preface this by saying I'm very excited by the Democratic brand altogether. But for me, I started with Bernie on this trip in 2016 and when I think about it, what I see is he led, and he led then and he's leading now."

"The rest of the United States is just finally caught up to what this cat's been doing already for his entire career. And you know that when he gets into office, he is going to be fighting for us," he continued.

Back in October, the 'Avengers' actor took to Twitter to call for democratic socialism again. At the time, he wrote, "Democratic Socialism says it's a moral wrong that 57% of income is going to the top 1%.  Universal health care. Medical & family paid leave."

Very recently, he slammed Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro for his comments and allegations against Leonardo Di Caprio where he blamed him for the Amazon Rainforest fires. There was no evidence provided to support Bolsonaro's comments.

Ruffalo responded by tweeting, "Bolsonaro and his ilk are scapegoating the very people protecting the Amazon from the fires he himself has allowed to happen. Ask yourself: what has recently changed in Brazil to have this happen now? Bolsonaro and his (non)environmental policies."
