Marjorie Taylor Greene labeled a 'suck up' for posing with Mike Johnson as he's elected House Speaker
WASHINGTON, DC: The race for Speakership has come to an end as Rep. Mike Johnson has secured the speaker's gavel with 220 votes as opposed to Hakeem Jeffries's 209 votes, as reported by CNN.
As Johnson takes over the role, previously held by former GOP House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has shared a selfie with the Speaker, which has stunned people on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Only moments before the Speaker was announced, Greene also announced on social media that she voted for Johnson. Prior to this, the Congresswoman had shown her support for Rep. Jim Jordan but has now congratulated Johnson for his new position.

On X, prior to the announcement of Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “I just voted for Mike Johnson to be our next Speaker of the House!”

Greene also shared a clip of ‘The Benny Show’ where expressed that she was “excited to support Mike Johnson.”

Greene also shared a video of "Speaker of the House Mike Johnson" written on a plaque at the U.S Capitol.
