WASHINGTON, DC: Marjorie Taylor Greene recently revealed plans to hold a hearing on supposed injuries attributed to the Covid-19 vaccines, sparking backlash.
The Georgia congresswoman's announcement coincided with a surge in lawsuits related to Covid-19 vaccines as individuals claiming to have faced severe side effects seek compensation from a perceived biased system.

She was quickly lambasted by the netizens with one saying, "What are you hoping to accomplish, other than wasting tax payer dollars? You’re living in la la la land."
"You’re gonna talk about all the deaths it caused by NOT GETTING VACCINATED too, right???" stated another.
A person noted, "I’d rather see the government not getting shut down than your pseudo-scientific theatrics which are a pointless waste of taxpayer money," while someone else added, "Let me testify. I've had every Covid vaccine they have developed and I've had no adverse effects," someone else added.
"You aren't holding a hearing, you're doing a Youtube video. You could be working on keeping government open, infrastructure, even border control. But no, you want to feature people that have been debunked over and over again. I'm sure they can help you with the big words," expressed a disgruntled netizen.

Claims of adverse reactions to Covid-19 vaccines go unheard
While vaccines are acknowledged for saving lives by preventing disease, reports shed light on the struggles of almost 13,000 Americans claiming adverse reactions to the Covid-19 vaccines.
These include life-threatening heart ailments and debilitating immune disorders, leaving claimants in bureaucratic limbo. Criticism also extends to the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP), established for vaccines administered under emergency measures.
Attorney Aaron Siri, partner at New York firm Siri & Glimstad, labeled the CICP a "kangaroo court" in one of the lawsuits.
"The CICP is akin to a Potemkin village . . . an elaborate façade designed to hide an undesirable reality," stated the lawsuit, adding, "Claims are consistently lost, ignored, denied, or caught up in the years-long purgatory of government bureaucracy. The compensation, if any, is neither timely nor adequate."
As of October this year, a mere six individuals out of over 12,775 Covid-19 injury claims submitted to the CICP since January 31, 2020, received compensation, averaging $2,148 each. Among the 1,800 decisions made by the CICP, only 72 were found eligible for compensation.
These statistics reveal that 96 percent of claims were unsuccessful, with just 14 percent of the total claims being adjudicated, according to the New York Post.
Meanwhile, it's crucial to acknowledge the broader context that vaccines generally save lives by preventing diseases.
As per the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA), "Most people who get vaccines have no serious problems. Vaccines, like any medicines, can cause side effects, but most are very rare and very mild. Some health problems that follow vaccinations are not caused by vaccines."
The organization adds, "In very rare cases, a vaccine can cause a serious problem, such as a severe allergic reaction."
