Marilyn Manson teases new track 'We Are Chaos' with surreal and moody artwork, fans are over the moon

The celebrated shock rocker Marilyn Manson has now revealed via his official social media accounts that he would be dropping a brand new song called 'We Are Chaos' on July 29. The legendary musician showed off the trippy artwork for the new single, along with a mysterious cowboy-themed headshot, accompanied by the caption "Wednesday 9 am PST." That makes the release time noon on the East Coast and it already fans are getting pumped up for the new single, with one fan exclaiming, "I’m prepared and ready for the chaos 🔥." Another excited rock fan declared, "Everyone is waiting 🔥."
A few weeks prior to this, the rock star had posted this moody headshot, along with the caption "Never-ending Astral Vampire. Prepare..." which informed fans that something big might be dropping soon. Some fans are even speculating that Manson's album might be coming out sooner than expected.
A few hours ago, Marilyn, whose real name is Brian Warner, had dropped a dark and surreal portrait of himself, highly reminiscent of a Francis Bacon painting, with the single's name 'We Are Chaos' and "Marilyn Manson" emblazoned on either side. It's a chilling and mesmerizing piece of art, as expected from someone who named themselves after the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe and the maniacal Charles Manson. Some fans were comparing him to Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter franchise in the comments. Most fans couldn't contain their excitement on seeing the rock star's announcement, speculating that this could even be the artwork for the new album. Even more thrilling was his next post, which featured a headshot of Marilyn wearing a white cowboy hat and glitzy eye makeup, glowering from the shadows at the camera in his black-themed suit and signature gothic look. Fans were cooing about this new look in the comments section as well, saying "YEEHAW" and "Country Manson, I love you aaaaa!" It appears this country theme might be a nod to Manson's work on his upcoming album with the outlaw country star Shooter Jennings, who is the son of the country music stars Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter.

Shooter had previously revealed on his Instagram that Marilyn's upcoming album was "finished," even terming it a "masterpiece." Manson himself had replied to Shooter's post, saying "Finished masterpiece album" and "S*** is gonna get real." In an interview from last year, Manson had talked about his upcoming project, and revealed, "I'm in a mode in life where I wanted to tell stories with this record, and it's sort of like a wax museum of my thoughts, a study of the chamber of horrors in my head." He added, "All the romance and hope you can have in the world, here in the End Times where it can be a different kind of apocalypse for each person listening to the record. I tried to paint it with words, and Shooter with sounds, so you can see and hear all of your longing, your passion and despair. That's sort of a dramatic explanation of it. But it is full of drama. I wouldn't compare it to any of my other records, but you hear a bit of everything. It's like I've focused everything into one spot, finally."
Make sure you catch Marilyn Manson's new track once it drops at 9 am PT/noon ET on Wednesday, July 29.
