Mariel Suarez: Judge caught KISSING prisoner after she tried to hand him reduced sentence

Mariel Suarez was the only judge who voted in favor of a reduced sentence of Bustos despite warnings from the Superior Court of Justice

Mariel Suarez, an Argentinian judge from the city of Comodoro Rivadavia, was filmed snogging Christian Mai Bustos, the cop-killer in jail near the city of Trelew on December 29. This incident was recorded on CCTV and now, the female judge who tried to save the killer from a life sentence is under investigation. 

The female judge was reportedly on the panel of judges who ruled whether the convicted criminal, Bustos, should face life in jail for the murder of cop Leandro 'Tito' Roberts in 2009. As per the local reports, Suarez was the only judge who voted in favor of a reduced sentence, despite warnings from the Superior Court of Justice that the prisoner was a "highly dangerous criminal."

Despite the female judge's efforts to save the criminal, Bustos was handed a whole-life sentence that began last week. After her intimate moment with the murder emerged, Suarez is being probed by the Superior Court of Chubut for "inadequate behavior."

Earlier, Bustos had stood trial over the death of police officer Leandro Roberts who was shot in nearby Corcovado. A brother of the convicted man also died in the gunfight as Roberts attempted to arrest the prisoner for an earlier prison break. During the trial, Bustos admitted his guilt and was convicted for homicide and given a life sentence. 

After the CCTV footage of the judge and the prisoner came into light, the Superior Court of Chubut issued a statement saying, "The investigation will seek to determine the circumstances of the meeting between that judge and an inmate who is regarded as highly dangerous and was recently convicted following a trial in the city of Esquel."

"It will also look at how long the meeting lasted and its characteristics, with a view to confirming whether there have been violations of the Law of Public Ethics and internal judicial authority regulations,' the statement added.

The female judge who shared a kiss with life-sentenced convict Christian Mai Bustos could face possible sanctions and is yet to comment on the matter.
