Margot Robbie claims 'nudity' in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' nearly made her brother disown her: 'Didn't speak to me for 3 months'

Recently, the ‘Euphoria’ star Sydney Sweeney revealed that her father and her grandfather walked out of the room as they were left dumbfounded by her nude scenes in the hit coming-out-of-age show that catapulted Sweeney to global stardom.
Something similar happened with ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ star Margot Robbie too. During an appearance at the Screen Time podcast, Robbie revealed that one of her brothers "needed a minute" before considering her a sister again.
‘One of my brothers didn’t speak to me for 3 months’
Very few cinemagoers can forget Margot Robbie from her 2013 breakthrough movie ‘The Wolf of the Wall Street’. While she shone like a jewel in the entire film, there is one particular scene that caught the attention of the cinema goers. In one of the scenes, her character Naomi Lapaglia was seen wearing nothing but stockings and high heels. While she enamored the entire world with her beauty and boldness, her family members were not happy, naturally.
As reported by The Mirror, her brother stopped talking to her after watching the movie. In the podcast, Robbie revealed her brother was so shaken that he needed a few moments to recover from his shock. The ‘Barbie’ star said, "I can’t tell you how uncomfortable that was,” before elaborating, "One of my brothers didn’t speak to me for three months afterwards - not because he was mad, he was just, like, 'I just need a minute before I can consider you my sister again!'"
'There was a whole room full of merkins'
Robbie spilled some of the well guarded secrets of Hollywood in the Australian show Nova's Fitzy and Wippa. The ‘Harley Quinn’ star revealed that because of the abundance of nude scenes that are shot for movies, “merkins” are frequently used. She revealed that the Martin Scorsese directorial venture had no dearth of such merkins on set, before describing what it is. She revealed, "They have things called merkins, which is like a wig but for genitalia." She further added, "I remember on Wolf of Wall Street there was an entire merkin room, there was a whole room full of merkins.”
'I flat out lied to my family for a long, long time'
Robbie revealed to Jimmy Kimmel in 2014 that the film’s nudity did not sit well with her family members. She said, “That [the nudity] was a small point of contention with my family,” before adding, “I flat out lied to my family for a long, long time. I was like ‘I don’t care what you hear there is no nudity, I’m not doing any nudity. Ignore anything anyone is saying'.”
She continued, “The lie evolved to ‘Well, actually its a body double and they just CGI’d my head onto someone else. My family totally bought it and they were like ‘They can do that?'”
However, realizing that sooner or later the truth will come out when her family will be watching the movie, she decided to tell the truth, “Eventually I came clean,” before adding, “I was like ‘you should read the book first and if you still want to see the movie then…'”
