Manchester United vs PSG: Solskjaer gets high praise after 2-1 win, fans say 'Ole will bring us trophies'
Dare we say Manchester United have got well back on track? After an impressive 2-1 win over Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday (October 20) in their UEFA Champions League fixture, it certainly looks like Ole Gunnar Soskjaer and his men, despite the absence of their skipper, Harry Maguire and their star signee, Edinson Cavani notched up a win after goals from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford put them in the driver's seat. While PSG didn't have any scorers of their own, an own goal by Anthony Martial added to their tally.
With this victory, the side now has three valuable points and a massive boost of confidence as they come back to England to take care of business with Chelsea. For the Red Devils, Rashford was the savior once again as he netted one in a goalkeeper dominant game after converting a Paul Pogba feed on top of the box and he drilled it in with a low shot. The second goal came in the 87th minute and sealed the deal for the Red Devils.
United fans, who were an optimistic bunch even ahead of the game took to social media to support the team's under-fire gaffer. "Good Morning... It's a beautiful day in Paris. A message to the board; give Ole any players he wants. He'll bring us trophies.. #oleatthewheel #MUFC #GGMU," read one of the tweets. One of the fans lauded the Norweigan's tactics. "Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tactics is so underrated He deserves a lifetime contract!!" he tweeted.

He deserves a lifetime contract!!
And since we spoke about fan support. How's this for a prediction? "Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to sack Frank Lampard. Bookmark this" read a comment soon after their win. "Ole Gunnar Solskjær- he is not the top managers that is around, but man, he deserves respect for what he is doing! Once again beating PSG, he knows how to set up teams against bigger opposition! Good win #MUFC." a fan wrote praising the coach.

Postgame, Rashford spoke about the need to trust in the process and keep the faith in Solskjaer. "It’s a good performance, one we have a lot to build on. I always believe in this team. It’s important to believe in the system a manager chooses." Ahead of their game against Newcastle, reports that Solskjaer's run was coming to an end were on the rise and judging by the last two results, it does appear the faith has returned.
"Shame on the board for not backing ole even though I don’t think he’s it if he can do that each time then we might be talking if only we got sancho man and a CB but Tuanzabe has hello let’s hope he’s not injury prone #MUFC," a fan remarked. Meanwhile, some fans hoped this would spark the winning momentum. "Time for United to go on a winning run now, unlikely but hopefully happens #MUFC"
