A man who was reportedly the superfan of the US President Donald Trump died of a suspected heart attack in the Indian state of Telangana on Sunday afternoon, October 11. Bussa Krishna allegedly starved himself for days while praying for Trump’s recovery from Covid-19. He became very emotional after learning that the POTUS had coronavirus, The Sun reported.

The 33-year-old Krishna was a farmer by profession and was famous as "Trump Krishna" in his village. Raghupathi, a local police officer, said that two weeks prior to his death, the worshipper of the 74-year-old Republican had left the village to go meet his parents, who lived in another part of the South Indian state. “It is there that he passed away due to a cardiac arrest,” Raghupathi added.

His family said that while having a cup of tea, Krishna collapsed. He was soon rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. “He was feeling depressed for the last couple of weeks after coming to know that Trump and Melania had tested positive for Covid-19. But he was healthy and had no prior medical complications,” his cousin Vivek said as reported by The Hindustan Times.

Besides, an update was also posted on social media by his family that read the ardent fan lost his life "due to tension for Donald Trump" after he got to know that his idol has contracted the deadly virus. "He spent sleepless nights, starved and prayed for the US president’s recovery for the past three, four days. He died of cardiac arrest on Sunday around noon,” a friend said. However, it was not immediately clear if he was still fasting at the time of his death.

Trump announced that he has tested positive in the first week of October. He soon got admitted himself at Walter Reed and after speaking with three nights there, he returned to the White House and claimed that he is now “immune” to the virus. The Republican leader has also returned to the campaign trail ahead of the presidential election 2020.

In 2018, Krishna first made the headlines when he placed a picture of Trump in the sacred place of his home like other Hindu gods. Later, he also installed a six-foot statue of the president and on a regular basis performed religious ceremonies with it using vermillion, turmeric, and flowers. Not just that, Krishna also pasted Trump’s posters and stickers all over his house, and wore T-shirts that stated “Trump”.

In 2018, he told News Minute, “I first read about Trump on the internet while he was campaigning for the US Presidential Elections. I also saw that he took part in World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and immediately took a liking to him." At the time, Krishna added that after seeing a few hate crimes, he “wanted to do something good for the country. I decided to bring the two nations closer with my 'bhakti'. America should recognize us. I decided to offer prayers to him for the sake of my country. I just wanted the US citizens to love Indians and not hate them. Everyone should live together and they should know about the good things we do as well.”

Speaking on his death, village official Venkat Goud said: “As much as we are sad that he died without meeting Trump even once, we hope, at least the news of his death, reaches Trump now."
