QUEENS, NEW YORK: A man flew into a rage while on a Queens subway station this week. He kicked a woman whom he believed was standing too close to him. He then slashed her when she began to film him, authorities have revealed. The woman, 29, had boarded a 7 train at the Junction Boulevard station at 4.30 pm on Wednesday, August 5, NY Post reports. The woman had entered the train and then stood in front of a man who had been sitting by the doors. The man kicked the woman and yelled, "Get the f**k away from me!"

This resulted in the woman pulling out her camera and taking a video. The man kept on cursing at the woman and demanded that she stop filming him, the cops revealed. The male, who has been described as around 28 years old and is 6 feet tall, proceeded to take out a lanyard with a folding knife from his neck and began to swing it at the woman. The woman received a cut on her arm and deboarded the train at the 82nd Street station while her attacker stayed onboard. The woman refused any medical attention.

Police say that the male has a slim build, brown eyes, with short close-cut dark hair. According to 1010 Wins, the man had been seen last wearing a blue long-sleeve t-shirt, grey shorts and dark grey sneakers. Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Many social media users took to commenting on the case and expressed their disappointment in the man's behavior. One such user had written, "America will never be great if we can’t figure out how to get along. We must draw strength from unity."

Another had commented, "This city has gone into the dumpster." Yet another added, "Thanks to De Blasio and CoJo... No law and order in the city anymore. They have subjected us to live in a dump with these animals."

In another incident involving a slashing, a man who was wielding a 'long knife' had slashed a woman at the Upper west side 1,2,3, subway station on 72nd and Broadway, the police reveal, Patch reports. The woman had been buying a metro card from a machine when the man attacked her from behind and proceeded to stab her behind the shoulder. The authorities revealed that the attack had been very random and unprovoked.

The victim, who was conscious and alert, was rushed to St Luke's Hospital and the man, who was wielding the knife, fled eastbound on 73rd street. The authorities described the man as aged between 30 and 40. He was believed to be around 5 feet and 10 inches tall and was seen wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans, a police spokesperson revealed. The woman had to receive stitches as a result of her injury.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
