A New Hampshire man after discovering that his wife was having an affair, murdered her lover and then forced her to decapitate the body and bury the head in the woods, authorities say. These details were mentioned in the arrest warrant for Armando Barron, 30, and Britany Barron, 31, who were charged over the death of 25-year-old Jonathan Amerault in Manchester, New Hampshire. Britany apparently cut Amerault's head off and buried it in a remote campsite in the Northwoods, after her husband forced her to after killing her lover. The killing reportedly happened over last weekend, with Amerault's body being discovered late Tuesday.

After stumbling upon the affair, Britany told police that Armando beat her, and at one point put a loaded pistol into her mouth. In order to lure Amerault to Annette Wayside Park in Rindge, Armando used Britany's cell-phone. At the park, Armando attacked Amerault and tried to force Britany to shoot him, by putting the gun in her hands and wrapping his hand over hers, according to the police affidavit written by New Hampshire State Police Detective Stephen Sloper.

After Armando tried and failed to get Britany to step on Amerault’s neck, he made her cut the man's wrists, according to Sloper, following which, Armando shot Amerault three times. The affadavit goes on to mention that the couple drove to Errol campground, where Britany cut off Amerault’s head with a saw, and buried it. Amerault’s body was wrapped in a tarp and buried near a brook.

Britany reportedly confessed after wildlife conservation officers encountered her at the campsite, where her husband had allegedly ordered her to dispose of Amerault’s remains. The officers discovered Amerault's headless body nearby after they noticed blood run out of the tarp covering Amerault’s headless body. “I’m in big trouble,” Britany is said to have told the agents, according to The Daily Beast.

Armando was arrested in Coos County on Thursday. He has been charged for assaulting his wife in connection with the murder investigation, according to an affidavit filed in Cheshire Superior Court. Both of them are facing charges for their respective roles in Amerault’s killing. Armando has been charged with capital murder for allegedly shooting Amerault while engaging in kidnapping, according to the statement released by the Attorney General’s Office. Britany faces charges of falsifying physical evidence in conjunction with Amerault’s murder for altering, destroying, concealing or removing items of physical evidence when she believed an investigation was pending or about to be instituted with a purpose to impair their verity or availability. They have been held without bail.

Questions had begun to arise after Amerault did not show up for work on Monday. His mother reported him missing to Keene police, according to New Hampshire State Police Detective Matthew Anderson’s affidavit. After this, the police contacted Teleflex Medical in Jaffrey where Amerault worked and learned that Britany, who was his co-worker, hadn't come to work yet. Teleflex employees told police that Britany called in to say she would not be at work and was likely quitting her job. Employees also told police they believed Britany and Amerault were having an affair.
