JetBlue passenger wearing Burger King crown calls other flyers N-word, thrown off plane after triggering brawl
A man wearing a Burger King crown was caught on video hassling passengers on a JetBlue flight from Jamaica to New York, after claiming he'd been assaulted. The man got into an argument with a flight attendant, during which he grew increasingly upset and was escorted from the plane after repeated warnings to be quiet and sit down. The man claimed he'd been kneed in the stomach, and wanted to sue.
The unidentified man in the video is seen wearing a Burger King crown and a mask around his chin, as well as a tattoo on his left cheek. He claimed that he couldn't find his seat - and that a woman on the plane had kneed him in the stomach. When asked to calm down, he continues yelling, telling the flight attendants that he was kneed in the stomach, and that he wanted to file a lawsuit. He repeatedly asks, "Why did she knee me in the stomach?" to which a woman is heard responding, "Because you deserved it."
The video also sees the man repeatedly use the N-word, as he yells things like, "Kick that n****r bitch off the plane!" and at one point says, "Excuse me, I'm part West African, I can say n****r any time I want!" There appears to be some confusion about seating arrangements, as the man believes the woman in question is sitting in his seat, and he asks the flight attendants to "take her s**t and get the f**k out of my seat!" He demands she be removed from the plane, saying, "Have I committed any type of violence since I've been on the plane? No!" The flight attendant responds, "You're yelling. That's disrespectful,' which appears to further aggravate the man, who yells, "She kneed me in the stomach!
The video later shows a woman attacking the man, though she's not the only person who takes a shot at him in a brief scuffle. The fight is quickly broken up by crew members before it gets any worse. The man, ignoring requests to put his mask on properly, yells at the nearest flight attendant. "You're a f*****g stewardess, she assaulted me! Call the f*****g police!" Other passengers are heard remarking that he's "the only White man on the plane" as he continues to yell.
"Kick that n****r off the plane!" he shouts. "N****r!" The flight attendants repeatedly tell him to calm down, telling him, "I don’t care what she said. You’re being disrespectful," and "There are children on this flight, you need to stop." The man was later escorted from the plane, and other footage from the same airport shows the man being led away in handcuffs as the passengers applaud. According to TMZ, the man has been banned from JetBlue flights after his racist remarks. A spokesperson for JetBlue said, "We have zero tolerance for racism or harassment, and after reviewing this customer’s abhorrent racist behavior, we have determined he is no longer welcome to fly JetBlue," and thanked the crew members for their swift action.
