Eric, 46, a guy from Maui, Hawaii, is the first patient of Season 8, and he has a bulge on his buttock, which he refers to as "a third a**." It's firm and squishy, and it makes him feel uneasy, embarrassed, and bashful. Four years ago, following a tragic fall from the Wailuku Bridge, he spotted a golf-ball-sized lump on his buttock. He was assured by dermatologists that it was not malignant and that he had lipoma. He was given medicines and told that it will go away. He says that taking the medicines may have inflamed the lipoma in some manner since it became larger. This has caused him to lose confidence in doctors, particularly those in Hawaii. That's why he decided to seek medical attention on the mainland and traveled to meet Dr Sandra Lee. His condition prohibits him from lying on his back since it feels like he's laying on a rock. It's also made him antisocial, and the thing on his buttocks makes him feel like a monster. Things are much more difficult now that he's working at an antique store and his third butt keeps knocking things down. He wants a lasting solution to disassociate himself from the moniker "bull in a China closet" and start his life on a new path.

Eric discloses to Dr Lee that he has a lipoma on his buttock. The doctor then asks whether he is certain and if he has been previously diagnosed. Eric tells her about the lipoma and says he's had it for almost five years and is finally trying to get rid of it. Dr Lee requests that Eric be examined because he does not appear to have anything suspicious coming out of his buttocks. She also inquires as to whether Eric has seen any other physicians before her and what they have stated about his illness. Eric recalls seeing a few doctors who prescribed him prednisolone and promised him that the problem will resolve itself. Dr Lee was surprised to find that Eric had been prescribed prednisolone, which only treats inflammation. Eric argues that his problem isn't an inflammation because it's not itchy or red. Because it was merely a bump and not inflammation, the drugs were ineffective. Dr. Lee also discovers that no other doctor has ever offered to take it out. Dr Lee analyzes Eric's condition carefully and says that it appears to be a lipoma due to his weight. The hump looks to be large, but Dr. Lee notes that it does not appear to be attached to him. It appeared to have stretched out excess skin. Given this, Dr Lee advises Eric that she might be able to help him remove it. The doctor is happy that Eric is a skinny man with some sinew and a small amount of fat in the subcutaneous layer, as she feels it will readily come out.

Before and After Eric's surgery in 'Dr. Pimple Popper' Season 8 (TLC)

Dr Lee numbs the region before making an incision and attempting to remove the lipoma with as little bleeding as possible. Eric's lipoma appeared to be firmly attached to him, with a thick fibrous ring holding it in place. Dr. Lee takes her time and removes the lipoma in sections to ensure that every piece is removed. Eric eventually greets his lipoma with an "Aloha." Dr Lee then ensures that there is some excess skin in the area so that he has movement in the area.

'Dr Pimple Popper' Season 8 airs on TLC every Wednesday at 9 pm.
