An Ohio man beat his uncle to death with a baseball bat, following an argument over a game of pool, according to police.
Cameron Blake Goodrich was arrested on Tuesday after his uncle, Dino Goodrich, 59, was found unconscious by cops on the garage floor of the home they shared in Gahanna -- a suburb of Columbus.
Paramedics tried to save the man on the spot, but he was later pronounced dead at a hospital, police said. Investigators have revealed that the men had a prolonged altercation over a game of pool earlier on Tuesday that culminated in Cameron Goodrich grabbing a bat from inside the home and attacking his uncle.
CPR was performed on Dino Goodrich immediately. He was then transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead at 12:38 am. on Wednesday, less than an hour after the 911 call was placed, according to Fox 28.
According to the police, 34-year-old Cameron Goodrich used a red wooden Rawlings bat during the assault. He struck his uncle several times in the head and body.
Cameron Goodrich's grandfather was present at the time of the attack and told the police what happened, according to a criminal complaint obtained by the Columbus Dispatch.
Cameron Goodrich later admitted to detectives that he assaulted his uncle, hitting him multiple times with the red bat and said he believed he killed him.
Goodrich was held without bond on a charge of murder at the Franklin County Jail as of Thursday.
