Chilling video shows NY man picking up brick he used to bash teen's face in unprovoked attack

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Rayquawn Tillman, a 25-year-old-man, was arrested for bashing a teenager in the head with a brick in an unprovoked attack in Chelsea Street, Manhattan, police said on Sunday, September 25. The assault happened on Monday, September 12 at 11.30 am.
Ethan Maddi, the victim, was walking down W 20th St when Tillman ran up to him and struck him with the brick near 10th Ave. Police released a video showing Tillman picking up a brick from a sidewalk tree bed moments before the clash. The attack came as a surprise to the victim and broke the orbital bone under one eye. Tillman was charged with felonious assault.
His arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court was pending Sunday.

Maddi, 18, studies at NYC Museum School. Reports say the 25-year-old attacker went missing last month, and his mother spotted his picture in news stories. Tillman’s mom reported to police that her son was the man photographed in surveillance footage.
“He wasn’t taking his medication and was living on the street for two weeks, They did facial recognition and were able to identify him,” said Indy Maddi, the victim’s mother.
“I can only imagine what she’s feeling right now,” Indy said of Tillman’s mother. According to Daily News, Indy is relieved to have him off the streets and hopes he receives the mental health care he needs. “Our concern is that a lot of these people get arrested and go back on the streets without getting help and the problem continues, we are just waiting to find out what [is] the next step, make sure he gets treatment," added Indy.
Ethan's eye is healing and Indy claimed, “He’s doing pretty well, This could have been so much worse.” Earlier, the cops released a video that shows Tillman looking around while switching the brick from one hand to the other. Later, the police sought the help of the public to track down the suspect. He was described as Black and in his 20s with a slim build and black hair. He was wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black pants, and white sneakers.

The teacher at Chalmette High School in Louisiana was hit so hard in the face that her head snapped back and her eyeglasses fell off of her face. The two guys proceeded to exchange blows while the astonished instructor shrieked and covered her eyes with one hand after taking the hard hit.
