'Mama June: Family Crisis' returned with its penultimate episode this week only to find itself in a soup. While the fans of the show were impressed by how the makers have managed to churn drama week after week, there's a section of viewers who appeared confused as to why a show like 'Mama June' would trend and even pass off as entertainment.

The current story arc revolves around the mothership, June Edith 'Mama June' Shannon, who has recently returned to the show following a hiatus, during which she was arrested for possession of drugs. This moved her away from her family, which impacted her fiercely but she is yet to accept the fact her inappropriate habits are what separated her from the kids.

Lauryn Michelle 'Pumpkin' Efird insisted she needs a time-out at a rehabilitation center but she was adamant that being an in-patient wasn't an option for her. Pumpkin had just started to believe her mother and that she was a changed woman ready to make amends, but this resistance from June has her rethinking.

Mama June's kids, Pumpkin and Alana Frances 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson, were forced to move out of their family home after people chased them down for some drug money June owed. They were living out of a hotel when June showed interest in meeting up with Pumpkin. But the reunion didn't go as planned after June failed her drug test.

Meanwhile, fans are surprised that a show like 'Mama June: Family Crisis' exists because it does nothing but "exploit humans for profit."

"I saw #MamaJune trending & didn't know what it meant. I clicked & still didn't get it. Had to google it. I don't understand what passes for "entertainment" anymore," a fan commented, while another pointed out: "#MamaJune is trending, and I don't understand why. Same opinion of Teen mom. Exploitation of humans for profit. And the short term fame and money only feeds egos and problems. Also Dr. Drew is a dick who's worth around 20 mil, disgusting."

"I know!!! When I saw #MamaJune trending right now I assumed she was dead or in jail! I feel sorry for the kids having her as their mom," a fan tweeted. "Why is #mamajune trending and we’re all pretending like she didn’t let MULTIPLE sex offenders around her kids," another posted.
