Spoilers for 'Making The Cut'

Will Riddle's journey on Amazon-backed 'Making The Cut' was cut short because of two unimpressive showings in a row as he wasn't able to show what he was made of as a designer.

Hey may not have a label of his own, but sure holds a stellar resume. Will has been an Atelier Director at Oscar de la Renta, worked at 3.1 Phillip Lim, and been a men’s designer at Kith. He has a modern take on glamor and his works are reminiscent of old-school charm, something that could have worked in his favor but sadly didn't because the judges thought his style didn't go with modern times.

His collaboration with Esther Perbandt left everyone confused because the three-piece looks didn't blend the different styles together. Esther believes in well-tailored pieces while Will comes from the school of draping, focusing mainly on evening wear. Even though the designer duo thought them coming together was a unique experience, Heidi Klum said it was very "matchy, matchy."

"You did not present your collaboration well. If I was a buyer, I would not buy it. Not interested," Naomi Campbell commented, while Heidi added that Esther's aesthetics come across whereas judges didn't know where Will fits and who he wants to be in the big, overflooded world of designers. Will almost didn't make the cut but he was able to convince the panel that if given another shot, he would definitely show them what he could do with his talent and skills.

For the next challenge, the designers were tasked to create one look from the fabrics they used earlier and seven hours to wrap it all up. Of course, they weren't given seamstresses. Will tried his best, gave the challenge his all and tried making something new. He had never cut a pair of pants, but he made that happen for what became his final challenge on the show.

"To me, like when I am thinking about what you've done in the past, I feel like they are all going to some disco many many years ago. I don't feel like this is now," Heidi said, to which Joseph Altuzarra added that his top was "very nice" but it lacked sophistication and refinement.

Even though Will has been eliminated, he did create some very interesting looks while on the show. Here's hoping he can utilize all that he learned during his stint on 'Making The Cut' to create his own label someday.
