With just two episodes left, 'Making The Cut' is drawing to a close. And like every other competition series, the Amazon-backed show has to eliminate a contestant, at times even two, to get to the top contenders.

Megan Smith was this close to securing a spot in the finale, but Jonny Cota's mini collection took over. Even though the judges - Heidi Klum, Joseph Altuzarra, Chiara Ferragni - were confident that Jonny would bring his A-game to the final runway show, they didn't feel the same way about Megan. Naomi Campbell, however, was deeply invested in Megan's work and expressed her interest in pushing her forward in the competition.

Joseph thought Megan's first look from the collection, which featured a croc-leather suit, was edgier than the rest because it reminded him of Esther Perbandt's (a fellow contestant) work, Heidi echoed the words of the designer. But Naomi interrupted, asking why would they think so? "You do appeal to everyday women. And you do cover a big age group," Naomi said.

Defending her position on the show, Megan said that she deserved to be on the show because this was her time and she felt that shows such as these help designers like her who don't have the resources to take their brand to next level. "If you guys put me in the final three, you won't be disappointed, for sure," Megan told the judges as they took time off to decide whether or not she would make the cut.

Joseph and Heidi were rooting for Jonny, whose clothing, they thought was store-ready. But Naomi argued saying that Megan has had to hustle. "It's like she's gotten out of the headmaster's rule and she is now been set free," the supermodel added.

Meanwhile, fans are wondering if it's a race issue that Megan has been shown the doors.

"I am not happy with the fact that Megan is always doing THE BEST but you all ignore her or make her fight alongside a competitor on who should win! I hope it’s not a Black/White race issue. It’s becoming a trend tho. #MakingTheCut #MeganSmith," a fan shared, while another posted: "Watched ep 8 of #MakingTheCut. I’m well versed in shenanigans & Megan’s elimination had PLENTY. Naomi already knew what was up. Every blk woman has been there. U can technically do better, but if ur not a favorite, any excuse from no matter how irrelevant will be used against u."

"This show is whitewashed am done #makingthecut Megan," a viewer expressed. "MEGAN was ROBBED!!!! I CANNOT believe they let “I NEED HELP” Johnny be part of the top 3?!?! MEGAN WAS ON POINT!!! Thank you Ms. Campbell for being ON POINT!!! The most BIASED episode ever!!!!! #MakingtheCut," another tweeted.
