Maine police on lookout for woman who left dog poop in Trump supporters' mailboxes, defaced MAGA signs
HAMPDEN, MAINE: Police officials in Hampden, Maine, are on the lookout for a woman who is allegedly putting dog poop in the mailboxes of supporters of President Donald Trump. The woman, whose identity is not known yet, reportedly committed the brazen act on Sunday, September 13, and Monday, September 14.
A photo released by police on their Facebook page showed the suspect in a purple t-shirt, denim shorts and lavender crocs while riding a bicycle and donning a black face mask. The woman is said to be middle-aged with shoulder-length brown hair. Alyshia Canwell, a patrol officer with Hampden Public Safety, said: "She has been picking up dog feces and putting it in mailboxes, specifically of people who have Trump signs outside. She has been also defacing Trump signs, writing comments on the signs." The Facebook post by the police has been taken down.
According to police, the accused was seen in the area of Constitution Ave while carrying out her alleged mischievous activity. They have also urged people to call 207-862-4000 if they know anything about her, The Daily Wire reported. "There are a number of charges that could potentially happen. I mean, there's trespass. Under federal law, you are not supposed to tamper with anyone's mailbox. Just let people display whatever is right and respect that," Monic Christian, a Hampden Police Department officer, told Daily News.
A similar kind of incident happened in Massachusetts after John A Oliveira, a member of the New Bedford School Committee and a US Navy veteran, complained that a number of his campaign signs supporting Trump's reelection were stolen. The man reportedly erected an electric fence on his property after the alleged theft. He said, "It's strictly about protecting my freedom of speech. It was preventing my right to freedom of speech and my personal properties right… Even if you get a security camera, that's not going to do anything. The electric fence, it sends a message."
However, it’s not just Trump supporters who are being attacked. Recently, a YouTuber pooped outside Nancy Pelosi's house to show his apparent support for the Republican leader. The man, who identifies himself as Armando or Mando, also live-streamed the bizarre act on his YouTube channel called Lifes Mavrek. But later apologized for it.
"@SpeakerPelosi I know you may not ever see this but I want you to know, I meant no foul harm yesterday when I did what I did. I'm not proud of it at all and I just would like for you to know that. I have no ill will against you or anyone in an elected officials position," he wrote in his tweet, which is not available now on the social media platform.
The 28-year-old YouTuber told The New York Post that he carried out the act as a "peaceful protest" which "got out of hand". He said he started making videos after he became homeless a few years ago. Through his "in real life" live stream videos, he hoped to show life on the street as he moved from one city to another.
Armando said that after lockdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic, things became more difficult for homeless people because of the lack of resources. "I'd been hunting for a toilet all week, and the joke came up in the comments on one of my streams that 'Hey, you should take a crap at Pelosi’s house'," he said, adding, "Everyone was enjoying the idea of it, and eventually I just couldn't hold it anymore."
