Fans want Dr Pepper to give up her PhD after she advices Krysten to stay in a toxic marriage

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA: Season 15 couples on 'Married at First Sight' are approaching Decision Day and some significant decisions are being made ahead of the event in the newest episode, 'The Ugly Truth'. In Wednesday's episode, experts check in with the pairs individually and as a group, but it's Krysten's admission that she's had enough that viewers can't get enough of.

The September 28 episode was nothing short of startling, from revelatory revelations to life-altering decisions. With important decisions ahead, the couples are attempting to learn more about one other with the assistance of friends and family as they meet with individuals closest to their spouses. Krysten spoke with Mitch's sister-in-law, hoping for advice on how to deal with her husband's contrarianism. Mitch's sister-in-law acknowledges that he may be difficult to deal with, but tells Krysten to be open and honest about her thoughts and feelings.

Mitch concludes the conversation by making a virtual call to his new sister-in-law. He expresses regret for failing to see Krysten's greatness when they first met, and her sister supports this, noting that Krysten is very open-minded. But just as the talk appears to be heading in the right direction, he asks about the potential of encouraging Krysten to wear less makeup, since he's more drawn to her that way. Needless to say, Krysten's sister is irritated, defending the makeup and everything else Krysten might want in the face of Mitch's displeasure.

The pair also meets with the experts to get advice on how to handle any disagreements between them. Krysten expresses her concern to Dr Pepper that Mitch is too contrarian for her, stating that in the past, he dismissed her house-flipping concept due to the potential influence on societal concerns. Dr Pepper, in response, advises Mitch not to place the entire burden of societal concerns on Krysten's shoulders. Krysten isn't sure she can make it long-term, but she does reveal that her expectations have altered since the honeymoon and that if they're doing well by the time Decision Day approaches, she'll say yes to remaining together.

The couples spend their free time together at the pool of their apartment complex, grilling and playing games. It starts out rather calmly, but Krysten is clearly agitated when she informs the girls about Mitch's desire that she wear less makeup. When Alexis asks Mitch a question regarding Krysten's makeup, the evening takes a turn for the worst, and she eventually tells everybody what her sister told her about Mitch's phone conversation and request. She is unhappy, and just as things are heating up, the experts arrive, surprising the gathering.

Dr Pepper discusses the conflict between Mitch and Krysten, as well as a discovery she recently learned from her sister. Dr Pepper reminds out that Mitch prefers her without makeup, and he's making progress, but Krysten is tired of waiting. She's going to start thinking more about herself, and she declares ceremoniously, "this is done."

Fans quickly took to social media hailing Krysten for finally speaking her mind and putting an end to Dr Pepper's advice of putting up with Mitch and his antics: "I’m so here for Krysten checking Dr. Pepper! Calling out Dr Pepper for asking Krysten to stay in a toxic marriage, a fan tweeted: "Dr. Pepper trying to convince Krysten to stay in a toxic marriage to Mitch is not conducive to her mental health. Another fan even suggested Dr Pepper giving up her PhD given her recent advice to the couples: "Dr. Pepper needs to give her PhD back and find another career path, respectfully. Fans call for Krysten to not be with someone who doesn't know her worth:  "Good for you, Krysten! Do NOT accept breadcrumbs from a man. YOU ARE ENOUGH! Calling out Mitch for his audacity, a fan tweeted: "Mitch got a lot of audacity trying to dictate how his wife presents herself #MAFS #marriedatfirstsightsandiego." Suggesting Mitch might have ended up on the wrong show, a fan quipped: "Krysten does not strike me like the type that walks around barefoot, takes 1 shower a week, wears no makeup and makes shelter outside.
