'MAFS' Season 14: Lindsey compared to Virginia, as fans call her 'hot mess of a bride'

On Season 14, fans were treated to the wedding of Lindsey and Mark

It is not easy for the couples of 'Married At First Sight' to gauge what their journey might be like. In the past, there have been tumultuous couples who have somehow made things work while seemingly well-matched pairs have fallen apart at the seams.

On Season 14, the first wedding fans were treated to the wedding of Lindsey and Mark. When it comes to personalities, Lindsey certainly is the loud one, which might be a lot to handle, but with Mark, who aims to please, there certainly is potential that this couple might just work out.

Having a successful marriage is essential for both Mark and Lindsey, who have tough relationships with their mothers. However, Lindsey got into the party mood relatively early on, polishing champagne on the way to the venue. By the time she reached, the alcohol had started taking effect, with the producers rushing in to help keep her sober. She also nearly disrobed in an attempt to find her vows but managed to make it to the altar in the end. Her behaviour rather amused fans.  

"I don't know why they bothered giving Lindsay a glass flute. Just give her the bottle." tweeted a fan. "Lindsey is a hot mess of a bride #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" added another. "Lindsey with an "E"... another Virginia from season 12  #MarriedAtFirstSight #MAFS" pointed a fan. "Lindsey really reminds me of Virginia… she was ready to party before she met her husband. Booze and all. At least her makeup was better than Virginia. Still annoyed on her purple eyeshadow. #MAFS #MAFSBoston #MarriedAtFirstSight #MarriedAtFirstSightBoston" noted another. "Now why her bridesmaids let her get THAT tore up just before her wedding to a man that she doesn't know... just passing her drinks left and right #MAFS" asked another. 

That's not all. Lindsey couldn't seem to stop talking during her own wedding ceremony. Fans found it rather annoying and hoped this wouldn't be a problem later on in her marriage. 
"Lindsey made her whole wedding ceremony a damn SNL skit #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan. "Lindsey got married, narrated the ceremony and offered additional commentary the whole time #MarriedAtFirstSight #mafs" added another. "Lindsay is right, she has no filter and even during this ceremony. Maybe one day she'll realize that no filter = disaster for relationships and to cut that shit out. Dunno that these two will work w her filter issues. #mafs #MarriedAtFirstSight" tweeted a fan. 

Wedding aside, some fans were not thrilled at the premiere episode was three hours long and featured only one wedding. ""MAFS after party" after an already 3 hr long episode... that'll be a no from me dog #MarriedAtFirstSight #mafs" tweeted a fan. "You would think 3 hours would be enough to get thru at least 3 of the weddings smh. They drag this shoe out too much #mafs" said another. "#MAFS can y'all believe we been sitting here for 3 hours? Is next season premiere gonna be a movie?! Sheesh" asked a fan.

The Season 14 premiere kicks off with a three-hour episode, on Lifetime, on January 5, 2022, at 8p/7c.
