'MAFS' Season 14: Katina defends Olajuwon for not having dated Black women

For the couples of 'Married At First Sight', settling into their everyday lives can prove to be very telling. After all, they are now getting a glimpse into what their future will be like, along with understanding how their partner is on a normal day.

So far, Katina and Olajuwon have had a few bumps along the road but seem to be on the same wavelength... for the most part. However, when Katina sat down with her friend Ariana, they addressed a slightly worrisome issue.

As Katina spoke to her friend, they brought up the topic that Olajuwon often talks a lot and deflects questions. Ariana noted that even with their conversation after the wedding, Olajuwon said he wanted a change and hence got married. Jehlani pointed out that marriage isn't a minor change but an important life choice. In addition to this, Ariana was worried that Olajuwon had never dated a Black woman before. Katina took his side, reasoning that he was half Irish. But Ariana held her ground, noting that it was not an excuse. Fans, too, considered it a red flag.

That’s something #MAFS" tweeted a fan, bringing up the fact that Olajuwon admitted to sleeping with a mother-daughter duo. "Lordt, Olajuwon's cringy AF lap dance is exactly what I would expect from someone who sleeps with a mother and daughter. You can tell he has used that same choreography as a party trick many a time #MAFS #MarriedAtFirstSight" added a fan. "Olajuwon is not attracted to that girl that’s why they haven’t consummated their marriage. He’s used to pumping quick with his white queens. It all makes sense #MAFS" observed a fan.

Others were worried for Katina, who kept defending Olajuwon's behavior. Katina has been pretty straightforward all season, but fans called her out for making excuses in this scenario. "Olajuwon wants Katina in that kitchen but, ironically she’s the one that eating up all the bullshit he serves her…including not identifying with black folks because he’s HALF Irish. #MAFS" tweeted a fan. "Katina is already making excuses for that bum. She better wake tf up & get out while it’s early! #MAFS" agreed another.

'Married At First Sight' Season 14 airs on Wednesday at 8p/7c on Lifetime.
