'MAFS' Season 14: Fans slam Olajuwon for trying to be Katina's 'personal trainer'

For the couples of 'Married At First Sight', learning how to be a spouse is only part of the process. Getting to know your partner is crucial, including what makes them tick. After all, understanding potential problems to solve them effectively allows the couples to communicate easily. But people rarely pick that path.

While the couples are still on their honeymoon, some couples seem to be getting along better than others. For example, Olajuwon and Katina get along well for the most part, but Olajuwon's controlling personality might prove to be an issue.

While the couples set out on individual activities, Olajuwon and Katina rode horses. Katina made it known earlier that she is not an animal person and is anxious and nervous about the activity. However, her statements fell on deaf ears as Olajuwon was determined to do the activity, seeing that he didn't want to compromise on his adventure. He kept pushing Katina the entire time, despite her not wanting to continue. Fans were tired of this dynamic.

Ola acting like everything has to be perfection. #MAFS" said a fan. "If she’s not comfortable on a horse when she’s not comfortable. He acts like he’s never going to get to ride a horse again calm down bro. #MAFS" stated another. 

Some fans were worried that Olajuwon's tone and attitude was a precursor to something worse. "The way Olajuwon talks to her is very condescending. I don’t like it! Like, who is you talking to? ?? #MAFS" tweeted a fan. "Olajuannaman be talkin to Katina kinda crazy. It’s giving controlling and abusive ! #MarriedAtFirstSight #mafs" added another. "olajuwon already does not care about katina and her feelings. time to wrap it up #mafs #MarriedAtFirstSight" declared another. 

After the activity, Katina called him out on it and while he said he was always going to push her, she made it clear that sometimes, he needs to understand that she doesn't want to do certain things and take a step back.
