NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: On 'Married at First Sight,' the newlywed strangers commemorate their one-month anniversaries by sharing a meal. However, when the group convened, Nicole Lilienthal grabbing the wheel made conversations around the table awkward and annoyed fans.

'MAFS' Season 16 has reached the crucial one-month anniversary, with the last four couples commemorating the occasion in the episode "Moonshine and Monthiversaries." While the momentous achievement may appear easy on the surface, the one-month anniversary also represents the halfway point in the show's major social experiment, as Decision Day will approach four weeks later and compel the couples to decide whether to stay together or divorce. When couples are made to confront where they are in their relationship in front of the group, things become unpleasant. Things become much more awkward when one of the brides turns an unpleasant dinner discussion into an embarrassing intervention.

Nicole's questioning turns group dinner tense

All the couples gather for dinner to catch up on each other's marriages. Each couple describes how they marked their one-month anniversary. Gina forgets when Clint was born, and he exclaims, "Damn, I forgot my burn cream with me." Clint and Gina have continued to bond, and everyone feels they make a fantastic couple. Jasmine confesses her feelings for Airris and is not rushing into anything. Airris asks Nicole and Chris if marital s*x differs from single s*x, and Nicole responds that it does, since they know they will spend the rest of their lives together.

Things become tense when Nicole turns to Kirsten and inquires about her degree of intimacy with Shaquille. Shaquille claims that he and Kirsten have an intimate relationship. All the couples support one another in their quest for grace and progress. Kirsten expresses her gratitude to Shaquille for allowing them to laugh now that they had left the dinner table. Shaquille expresses his want to know what Kirsten needs and expresses his frustration that she opens up when they are surrounded by others but not when they are alone.

Another person questioned, "Who made Nicole the leader of the group.. nobody needs your approval love. She thinks she’s Gil." One more fan quipped, "Nicole over there asking questions like Gil."
