‘The Voice’ Season 19: Madeline beats Eli in battle round, fans feel duo 'brought the best in one another'
The very first contestants to lock horns from Kelly Clarkson’s team were multi-lingual singers, Eli Zamora and Madeline Consoer, who went head-to-head on Ricky Martin’s hit single ‘Solo Quiero Amarte’. The duo got a few tips from their mentor, Leon Bridges, on how they can get on with their song before hitting the stage. Eli and Madeline exhibited confidence and energy when they finally got the chance to perform the track in front of the judges.
Both the singers earned a lot of praises from all the coaches. While speaking about Madeline, Blake asserted that her voice was dreamy. After listening to all the judges, Kelly made it clear that it was tough to choose between the two, but in the end, she opted for Madeline as her pick for the next battle round. Unfortunately, neither Kelly saved Eli nor the other judges stole her for the next round. He had to head home with disappointment.
A lot of people also expressed their opinion on the battle round of Eli versus Madeline. One user tweeted, “Both Eli and Madeline brought the best in one another. Best performance tonight. I wish Kelly could have saved Eli though Frowning face #VoiceBattles.” Another said, “Madeline snatch that win! Flawless voice #VoiceBattles #TheVoice.” One tweet read: “Madeline Consoer vs Eli Zamora. I love that they get an actual duet. Eli has that latin heat. Is his mic lower? Her voice cuts thru more. This makes me want to hear the original. Both r emoting with lots of angst and passion. Madeline soared on those notes. #TheVoice #VoiceBlinds.”
