'MacGyver' Season 4 Episode 11: Riley made the right choice but she and Mac would be perfect, declare fans

Another amazing episode of 'MacGyver' Season 4 is here and it packs both action and drama into one killer story. Featuring the return of the Merchant (James Callis), 'Psy-Op + Cell + Merchant + Birds' was a solid story with some intense mind games being played between the Merchant and Angus "Mac" MacGyver (Lucas Till).
The episode also saw Riley Davis (Tristin Mays) finally realizing her feelings for Mac and deciding to move out of his apartment so that she doesn't come between him and Desi Nguyen (Levy Tran) in a pretty heartbreaking moment. Fans have taken to social media to discuss the episode and for the most part, they seem to agree that Mac and Riley would be a much better couple than Mac and Desi.
"Damn it, Desi needs to move aside! Riley and Mac go years back now plus Mac and Desi need the job action," one fan tweeted. "Mac and Riley are so much alike and perfect for each other!!!"
However, not all fans are happy with this turn and some seem to prefer the brother-sister bond between Mac and Riley over any romantic ties.
One fan who subscribes to this opinion wrote, "Ughhh I knew it! I knew they were writing Riley having feelings for Mac and leading up to it all season! Dammit, I love Mac & Riley as bro/sis buddies. And I love Desi."
"I Don't blame Riley for her decision," another fan noted. "She is protecting herself from further heartbreak." "I prefer Mac/Riley over Mac/Desi," yet another fan declared.
This debate is bound to keep raging on for a while but in the meantime, the fans do seem to agree that 'Psy-Op + Cell + Merchant + Birds' was one of the better episodes of the season, which is saying a lot because this has been a really good season in general.
"All of the 'gotcha' moments, the dialogue & this cast though...?! Tonight's ep was lit! And that @Trizzio put her FOOT in this one tonight! My girl got me still sitting here upset & ready to help her search for apartments," one fan commented.
Another fan declared, "Watching #MacGyver every Friday really has been a saving grace during this pandemic. Thanks for all your hard work."
