ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA: The 911 call made by a witness who found the bodies of Lyric Woods, 14, and Devin Clark, 18, on September 17, has been released by Orange County officials in North Carolina. State and federal authorities are still assisting the county with finding the juvenile suspect as of Monday, more than a week after the mysterious double-murder took place, despite the Orange County Sheriff's Office's announcement that they had a petition for a 17-year-old suspect's arrest, as per Fox News.

It was on September 17, when Woods' stepfather found her missing from her room, and the backdoor of the property was unlocked. She was a ninth grader and studied at Cedar Ridge High School in Efland. The other victim Devin Clark, was a talented football player for Eastern Alamance High School. His family reported him missing on September 18, and had last seen him on the night of September 16. The unidentified alleged killer is charged with two counts of first-degree murder after the victims were recovered on a country trail with at least 10 bullet wounds on their bodies, as announced by Orange County Sherrif's Office on September 20.

The teenagers' families last saw them on September 16 and reported them missing the following days. ATV riders found the teenagers' bodies shot to death on September 17, according to authorities. In a 911 call on the same day, the witness who reported the crime scene told the police, "I would like to speak to the officer in person, but what we have found is, we've actually discovered two dead bodies. We were on a four-wheeler and we were actually putting out deer corn and we discovered them."

When the officer asked the caller where exactly he saw the bodies, The caller said, "There's a power, an access where the power company cut a road in and they're just laying there on the side of the road."

Sheriff Charles Blackwood said in a statement on Monday, September 26, "The North Carolina General Statutes prohibit the release of all records and files pertaining to cases of juveniles under supervision of juvenile court counselors," A record includes, but is not limited to, information obtained from witnesses, laboratory tests, surveillance, confidential informants, investigators, photographs, measurements, and officer case notes."

Both the grieving families have received assistance from the neighborhood. More than $23,000 was raised for Woods through an online fundraiser. Clark has received more than $24,000 in donations.
