Luxury apartment right below President Trump's penthouse is up for sale, and the Secret Service is not happy at all
Along with the luxurious apartment, the building offers multiple services including a concierge, a 24-hour doorman, a maid, valet, and an expansive fitness center.

The lavish apartment right below President Donald Trump's luxurious penthouse at the Trump Tower has hit the market. Reports state that whoever wishes to live near the president will have to shell out a whopping $24.5 million to buy that apartment.
The swanky apartment is a two-floor pad and adjoins Trump's penthouse, and according to real-estate sources, even his bedroom, the Daily Mail reports. The duplex unit stands at 6,100 square feet and spans the entire south-facing portion of two stories of the tower and also includes five bedroom suites, five bathrooms, and a half bath.

Along with the luxurious apartment, the building offers multiple services including a concierge, a 24-hour doorman, a maid, valet, and an expansive fitness center.
Although the apartment is up for sale, there are multiple security concerns associated with the duplex because of its location, according to reports.
"What is to stop the Chinese or the Russians from buying the apartment under a front, and then drilling spy holes in the ceiling to listen to the conversations and goings-on?" a source said to Page Six.

"It is possible the board could make a potential buyer’s life hard by demanding FBI checks or extra paperwork, hoping to chase away the buyer. Or perhaps [White House economic adviser] Larry Kudlow could suggest the country buys it for security reasons," the source added.
Reports state that the Chinese government also owns property in Trump Tower. The management of the highrise is currently being handled by the president's sons Don Jr. and Eric Trump. POTUS entrusted them with the responsibility shortly after he was sworn into office.

Reports state that the board would be required to purchase the apartment itself if they legally want to block possible security threats posed by the on-sale unit.
There is another possibility, which includes the White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow suggestion that the country — a.k.a. the taxpayer — buy the unit for security reasons, according to reports.

The duplex penthouse is located on the 64th and 65th floors of Trump Tower, while the president's apartment, which is a triplex penthouse, is located on the 66th and 68th floors.
