Luke Perry's son Jack Perry shares emotional tribute to his father: 'I’ll miss you every day that I walk this earth'
Jack Perry and his sister Sophie both shared emotional and heart-felt tributes to their late father Luke Perry
Luke Perry's pro wrestler son Jack 'Jungle Boy' Perry shared a very emotional tribute to his father on Instagram around two days after the 52-year-old actor passed away after suffering from a stroke.
The 21-year-old posted a throwback picture of himself and his father with a more recent picture of himself and wrote in the caption, "He was a lot of things to a lot of people. To me, he was always Dad. He loved supported me in everything and inspired me to be the best that I could possibly be. I've learned so much from you, and my heart is broken thinking about everything you won’t be here for."
"I'll miss you every day that I walk this earth. I'll do whatever I can to carry on your legacy and make you proud. I love you Dad," he continued. Just a few hours before his post on Wednesday, it was announced that Jack would be missing out on his upcoming wrestling match which was supposed to be taking place at the Bootleg Theater located in Los Angeles on March 13. The promoter's account read, "Unfortunately Jungle Boy will no longer be wrestling at our March 13th show. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this time."
Luke Perry passed away on Monday around five days after he suffered from a huge stroke at his Sherman Oaks residence in California on February 27. In his final moments, Perry was reportedly surrounded by his fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, both his children and his former wife Rachel Minnie Sharp. His mother Ann Bennett, stepfather Steve Bennett, his brother Tom Perry and sister Amy Coder were also present.
His publicist Arnold Robinson shared, "The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning." Luke's daughter Sophie had to cut short her trip to Africa and rushed back to be by her father's side. She too took to social media to share an emotional tribute to her father by sharing a photograph of her along with her father.
She captioned the image, "I'm not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it's something you aren't ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it's all happening in the public eye. So bear with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly. A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family."
"And in the past 24 hours, I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support. I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I," she continued. As reported by PEOPLE, Luke had a stroke last Wednesday and did not regain consciousness before passing away on Monday.
