LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The grieving father of an 11-month-old victim who died in a fatal crash in Los Angeles wishes the perpetrator pays for it. Alonzo Quintero and his mother, Asherey Ryan, who was eight months pregnant, were in a car when ICU nurse Nicole Lorraine Linton’s vehicle struck theirs along with at least four others. The accident took away both Alonzo and Ryan’s lives.

Last Thursday, August 4, the tragedy also killed Ryan’s boyfriend Reynold Lester and two other unidentified women. Now, Alonzo’s father, Luis Quintero, has spoken up. Remembering the little one, he told ABC 7 LA: “He had a smile that would brighten up your day no matter what. He was full of joy, very excited. I loved when he gripped his hands, when he would kick his legs from excitement.”

Luis also added, “I want to see that justice is made. Something for her, payback for what she’s done. Maybe then I can forgive her. But not now. She took my son away from me. And I will never see him.”

As per reports, on August 8, the accused was pressed with six counts of murder and if proven guilty, she could face up to 90 years behind bars. Earlier, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón mentioned the 23-year-old Ryan and her family as he said, “A young family was destroyed in the blink of an eye. There’s catastrophic damage to the families and friends of those killed and injured. It’s not only a tremendous loss to their families, but to our entire community, who learned of this incredible tragedy who watched the now viral video of the collision.”

Gascón’s office also issued a statement that read: “My heart goes out to the families that lost loved ones in the horrific car collision that occurred yesterday in Windsor Hills. This incredible tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout Los Angeles and the loss of so many precious lives will have a lasting impact on those that are closest to them.”

“Our office is in close contact with the lead law enforcement agency investigating. A prosecutor has already been assigned and will be working with law enforcement throughout the weekend. We will provide updates as more information becomes available,” it concluded.

Meanwhile, Ryan’s younger sister, Sha’seana Kerr, spoke about the tragedy as she said, “She was my first best friend. The first person I knew. The first person I probably had a conversation with. Every day we take our sons outside and walk them around the block. Every day. The neighbors know us. Today, I had to walk alone with my son,” before noting, “I just want to tell her that we forgive her [Linton]. She will have to live with this for the rest of her life. That’s why she was spared. We understand it already.”

Kerr launched a GoFundMe to raise funds for the funeral. At the fundraiser, which received $163,245, she wrote: “On August 4,2022 the worst thing occurred. We lost Asherey Ryan her 11 month old son Alonzo Quintero, Asherey’s unborn baby Armani to a tragic car accident that took place on Slauson and La Brea. My name is Shaseana Kerr, Asherey Ryan younger sister and I am organizing this fundraiser for our mother Sharita Randleston, to help her pay for funeral expenses because they did not have insurance so any donations help. Please let the family mourn in peace.”
