At the beginning of the show, Kunis told a hilarious story about her wardrobe mishap where she had to cut children's leggings to make her underwear because she forgot hers. The actress was booed again when she told Kimmel that she never had pizza in New York. She said "No, I did not have pizza in New York, but my dad delivered pizzas growing up, but in LA. LA has perfectly fine pizzas, guys!" Then, the crowd started to boo again. "You know what?! I'm wearing children's underwear for you," Kunis told the audience who then burst with laughter. By the end of the show, Kunis had won the live audience over by taking some swigs of tequila with Guillermo.

Mila Kunis and Finn Wittrock starrer 'Luckiest Girl Alive' revolves around a writer's perfectly crafted New York City life that starts to unravel when a true-crime documentary forces her to confront her harrowing high school history and makes her question the choices she made as a teenager. The mystery thriller is directed by Mike Barker with the screenplay by Jessica Knoll. The movie is based on Knoll's 2015 novel of the same name which also happens to be the author's debut work and was a New York Times Bestseller in 2015.

Knoll drew upon her own experiences of being gang raped and bullied as a teenager. In March 2016, Knoll wrote an essay for the online feminist newsletter titled 'Lenny Letter', describing her experiences as a rape survivor. She further stated that she came forward after interacting with several fellow rape survivors at book signings.
